Club Rules

 

We have adopted the following rules to help make working out at the Club a pleasant experience for all members. These rules should be considered a part of your membership agreement and we appreciate your effort to comply with them. From time to time the Club may adopt and post additional rules. If you have questions about any of these rules, please contact a club staff member.

 

Change in Facilities and Operating Hours. As a result of repair, maintenance or special occasions, we may be required to restrict the use or temporarily close activity from time to time. There will be no reduction, suspension, abatement, or apportionment of membership fees or other charges during such time when the above-mentioned occurs. Hours of operation may be modified from time to time without prior notice to Member. Lacamas reserves the right to change the facility from time to time, to eliminate some facilities and services, to add others, to add, modify and/or eliminate programs, activities, classes or equipment at our sole discretion.

 

Special Events. From time to time we may reserve the use of its facilities for special events, competitions, and private functions. If it is anticipated that part of the facility or the entire facility will be temporarily unavailable from time to time while repairs or renovations take place, management will make every effort to minimize any disruption to members during these periods, and if possible, to schedule any work during off-hours or summer months. The facility may be closed for holidays and may be closed periodically for renovations. In the event that an Act of God (e.g., hurricane, earthquake, national emergency) causes more than a temporary closing of the facility, Member’s obligations under the Agreement and these Terms and Conditions will be suspended until such time as use of the facility can be resumed. The obligation for contractual dues will otherwise not be affected unless this facility cannot reopen within one year of the interruption of service.

 

Non-Discrimination. Lacamas represents that it will not discriminate against any person because of sex, race, creed, age, color, origin, sexual orientation, or ancestry in considering applications for memberships. The minimum age for a Lacamas membership is eighteen (18) unless parental permission and Lacamas consent is given and approved by Lacamas at Lacamas’s sole discretion.

 

Children and youth Use. All children between 8 and 14 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and have restricted use the of the facilities and are only allowed on the workout floor during posted family workout times. Outside of these specified times, children between 8 and 14 years only have access to the youth activity center, basketball court or wet areas during scheduled family swim times (lifeguard must be on duty for any persons under 17 years old to enter the wet area, even when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian) All children ages 15 to 18 years old need parental consent to work out in the facility. Some children’s programs require fees to be paid in advance. Lacamas reserves the right to discontinue use by any child who is unsupervised, or whose behavior is offensive or disruptive.

 

Group Exercise Policies. Each class is limited to a set number of participants. Members should not enter a class late without the instructor’s consent. No one will be admitted 10 minutes after the scheduled class time. If Member is just starting a group fitness program or has an injury, prenatal conditions or problem that may prevent full participation, please discuss this with the group fitness instructor at least five (5) minutes before class. Proper clothing and footwear must be worn in all group fitness classes. Lacamas reserves the right to change the group fitness schedule at any time including the addition or deletion of classes, as well as changes in instructors, class times and length of classes. Lacamas reserves the right to change group fitness policies when necessary and require advanced reservations for heavily attended classes.

Personal Training. In addition to these Terms and Conditions, any and all personal training provided by Lacamas shall be pursuant to any additional terms and conditions set forth in a separate personal training contract entered into by a Member and Lacamas. Use of personal trainers not approved by Lacamas is prohibited. Member may not train other members or guests, conduct business activity or solicit any business. Any violation of this policy may result in legal action as well as forfeiture of any remuneration received by a member or guest for such services.

Violation of Rules: If a member fails to comply with Club Rules, we reserve the right the right to terminate his/her membership privileges. Any such termination however will not relieve the member of his/her obligation to pay the unpaid portion of his or her membership fees.

 

Hours: Our hours and days of operation will be posted on the premises and our website and may change from time to time in consideration of holidays, seasons, member usage, and maintenance requirements.

 

Sign-in: We ask that you check in at every visit by scanning your membership card at the check-in counter. If you don’t have a valid, bar coded membership card or your photo image is not on record, please sign in and show photo ID to the front desk staff.

 

Membership Cards: A membership card will be issued to each member. A membership card may not be used by any other person other than the member to whom it is issued. Membership cards must be presented at the front desk in order to access the Club. If a card is lost, a replacement card will be issued for a fee of $8.00 plus sales tax.

 

Member Conduct: Because we’re concerned about your health, we required that you refrain from smoking or using tobacco products, alcohol, or other illegal drugs at the Club. It is our policy to expel members who may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. We also ask that members treat one another with respect and that they refrain from using course or derogatory language.

Lockers and Locker Rooms: Lockers and locker rooms are provided for your convenience. Lockers however, are for day use only unless you have a

locker rental. We empty lockers every night and, if necessary, we will remove any unauthorized locks. Locker contents will be discarded or donated to charity. We are not responsible for lost of damaged articles.

 

Dress Code: We ask that you wear workout attire appropriate for a public environment where men, women, and minors may be present. Appropriate athletic shoes are required. Swimming suit required in sauna, pool, and/or Jacuzzi areas. No cutoffs or jeans allowed.

 

Guest Privileges: We invite you to bring guests to visit the Club, however, guests will be subject to our customary guest fee. Guests are admitted to the Club at the discretion of management and must comply with all Club Rules.

 

Peak Hours: You should be aware that the Club has peak hours of usage when facilities and equipment and services may not be as available as you would like. If you should like to avoid peak hours, speak with a Club staff member to determine the best hours for you.

 

Cell Phones: Cell phone use is limited to the front lobby area only

 

Damages to Facilities: Member agrees to pay an extra charge for damages arising from careless use of equipment or dropping of weights, etc. caused by member and any damage to the facility caused by the member.

Weights and Equipment: Members are required to re-rack weights and wipe equipment down after each use.
